Are there any ramen shops in San Diego? If there are, are they any good? I know there’s the mitsuwa in SD, but it’s very small compared to the one in Torrance. Only one restaurant there and they don’t serve ramen, only udon and other higher-end dishes.

Thanks and have a ramen a day!

There are definitely some in San Diego. I went down to San Diego with my dad for his co-worker/friends wedding and during our break I went somewhere out for ramen. It was a while ago so I can’t remember what I thought about the ramen but I remember it being pretty good. I think I found it by just doing a search on yahoo yellow pages for ‘ramen’ or something like that. It was so long ago even if I saw the name I probably couldn’t tell you if that was it or not. I think it was like a ‘japanese’ part of San Diego though because near by I found a nice little store selling lots of Manga (I don’t remember seeing any in english) and bought a couple volumes while I was there.

Been a few years since I’ve gotten down there but a place I used to enjoy was Noodle House of Otemoyan, 4646 Conway St. San Diego. I remember them doing ramen, udon and soba.

Hope this helps…

I personally like chopstix!  They have ramen and other Japanese food.

Most people I know like Tajima, but I have never tried it.

i’ve been to one or two places… a long time ago. will try to make a weekend of it and just hit up SD in the near future. i’m guessing there’s probably a few interesting joints to be found in the kearny mesa area?

C-Chan619 is right on the San Diego ramen scene.  Chopstix is good and so is Tajima.  I personally like Tajima better as there are a lot of other options to go with the ramen (karage, etc.)
